Strong emotion for the NASA teams, who have been waiting for the return of the suit to the Moon for a long time, more than 50 years after the Apollo 11 mission. An outfit worth 228 million dollars, much less rigid than that of Neil Armstrong, the first to set foot on the lunar surface in 1969. This space suit will wear the first woman sent to the moon.

“When the first woman sets foot on the surface of the Moon, with Artemis 3, she will be wearing this space suit, and I can’t wait to see it”, said Robert Cabana, NASA associate administrator. Integrated high-definition camera, survival backpack… The Artemis mission equipment will be of the latest generation. The capsule will be more spacious than the previous ones and should carry four astronauts instead of three. The Frenchman Thomas Pesquet, for his part, is already imagining wearing it, as he confessed on Twitter on Wednesday 15 March.
