“Roads of Mostarda” is the theme of the 2022 edition of the Mostarda Festival in Cremona, the now traditional autumn event between gastronomy, tradition and innovation. A program of initiatives and events from October 15 to November 30 aimed at highlighting the very strong links between product and tourism and making mustard a real tourist destination. The event, which is intended as a place of meeting, information and training, is intended as an opportunity to support and promote the sectors of production, trade, tourist accommodation and local catering.
(TurismoItaliaNews) The famous Cremona fair returns from October 15 to November 30, 2022 in the name of gastronomic events, tastings and historical notes on the origin and history of mustard. The theme of this edition is “Mustard Routes”, a celebration of mustard and its origins, an opportunity to get to know the territory and its traditions through food and wine culture. A culinary journey to inform, federate and educate through the parallelism between the historical birth and the current production, in order to make a scientific, cultural, social and informative contribution, for the benefit of the development of the territory and the level of artisanal production of this food.
“Route of Mostarda”, which will be divided into three geographical directions within the Lombardy region, “Towards the lands of the Gonzaga”, “Towards the lands of the Visconti” and “Towards the lands of the Sforza”, aims to contextualize the producers current in a scenario that reconstructs the historical aspects and highlights the artistic and landscape characteristics of the province of Cremona. Routes that are therefore linked to historical aspects, tradition and prestige and involve several local communities in the province of Cremona.
The Festival offers a wide selection of proposals in the region to taste the product in its most sought-after variations thanks to the participation of eno-gastronomic realities, restaurants and the collaboration and contamination with other local food and wine events important, such as the Salami Festival and the Nougat Festival. The Festival is organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona, in collaboration with Strada del Gusto Cremonese, the Municipality of Cremona, the Cremona delegation of the Italian Academy of Cuisine, the Touring Club section of Cremona and Onaf, of the Union Chefs of the Lombardy region, the Einaudi high schools in Cremona and Munari high schools in Crema and the Pandino dairy school.
Also this year, the event will be available in digital version and broadcast, on the official event website and on the event’s social media accounts with a rich calendar of events and initiatives. Among these, the social collaboration with important local and non-local chefs, to discover recipes and new ways of interpreting this gastronomic delicacy.
