The second weekend of October – October 7, 8, 9, 2022 – in Piazza Trento e Trieste in Ferrara, the appointment with producers from all over Italy for the taste market of “Il Cibo è chi lo fa” returns.

The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Ferrara and organized by the Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori association of the province of Ferrara, is in its 17th edition: in the square there will be about forty companies. The event is characterized by the setting up of wooden stands which draw an elegant scenario on the Board.

Work continues: “The event” The food is who does it “follows the administrative path to have the recognition of the DECO brand, in fact I remember that in addition to the register of DECO branded products, the municipality of Ferrara also established the register of Fairs , markets , events and demonstrations that have the characteristics provided for in the Regulations and can boast the DECO mark as promoters of the agri-food and wine products of the territory, their historicity and cultural identity and the paths linked to them “.

“The success of the event lies in the type and quality of the product offered, where the seller is also the producer himself. The added value lies in the narration of the product from those who know its origins and processes” pointed out Massimiliano Urbinati, President of the Route of Wines and Flavors of the Province of Ferrara.

The consumer attentive to what he consumes has always been the reference target of the event where the difference is the care with which the raw material is chosen: the agricultural producers and the artisanal companies by their work ennoble the tradition and preserve the italian recipes. Each Italian region, each province and very often each locality has its own enogastronomic peculiarity that makes our peninsula a puzzle of incredible olfactory taste experiences.

Also this year there will be many producers from all over Italy and to name a few products: Parmigiano Reggiano di Montagna delle Vacche Rosse, speck and canederli, strudel and spatzle, organic extra virgin olive oil from Puglia, nduja Calabrian for the strongest palates, fish from the lake in oil, local pampepato and all the sweet derivations with chocolate, cut desserts with cream, fruit, glazes and caramels, the Apulian taralli declined in all their varieties , new beans and the most popular crispy and rum-flavored chicory, the porchetta di Ariccia, sweets made with hazelnuts and almonds for those who love dried fruit in the most classic sbrisolona style, liqueurs and spirits, peppers for all palates, yeast-free double leaf Genoese focaccia in various variations including the classic all-oil and salt, the one with onion or potatoes and stracchino or oli ves, Modica chocolate, mountain honey from the hills and plains, grappa with wine and cherries, goat cheeses, pizzoccheri, p olenta taragna, organic juices and jams, mustards ….. and much more.

Simultaneously during the event the commitment of the route to promote the product of the Ferrara region continues and in fact in Piazza del Municipio there will be the agricultural producers of the Farmer’s Market of Ferrara, from 8 to 19.

The “Food Is Who Makes It” event will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all three days of October 7, 8, and 9, 2022.
